Our Vision

An exclusive retirement village in Chapelton, a vibrant new community situated on a beautiful stretch of the Aberdeenshire coastline.

The Liberty Chapelton Retirement Village is located in the heart of the Chapelton community overlooking open green spaces and close to all village amenities.

Exclusive to 55 and overs, the Liberty Retirement Village is a mix of 94 one and two bedroom cottages and apartments, all set within a beautifully landscaped and managed community.

The Vision for Chapelton

The vision for Chapelton is to create a place with a strong sense of community. A place that will become a self-sufficient town where residents can live, work and enjoy life to the full. Great care is being taken to preserve the countryside features of the area, and to incorporate the existing trees, walls and hedgerows into the overall town design.

Chapelton is inspired by the vibrant urban settlements of northeast Scotland, such as Montrose, Stonehaven and St Andrews. Like these historic towns, Chapelton will include many types of traditional homes, all in walking distance of attractive parks and community facilities.

Dog Walking in Chapelton

Chapelton will become a vibrant community of up to 8,000 homes within seven neighbourhoods all with associated amenities, such as shops, offices, parks and schools. They are designed to be inherently sustainable, and be desirable and fulfilling places to live and work for all residents. The initial area of the town to be developed will be the four neighbourhoods of Cairnhill, Chapelton town centre, Wester Cairnhill and Newhall.

The Liberty Retirement Village will form an integral part of the first Chapelton neighbourhood – Cairnhill. Situated on a hilltop with dramatic sea views from the high street and park, Liberty Chapelton will be a beautiful place to live.

Hume Square

Built next to Liddell Park, Liberty Chapelton will be located close to the town’s first businesses, Teacake and The Lounge, and transport links.
